Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Her debut came in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody became a model after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that she extended to her acting career. Once she caught the attention of the casting director for an upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was named as one the 12 most promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was still only 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond part. As of today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. It took place in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn French along with Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role in her career as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became an international star. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal She went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody was part of the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The following year, she had been scheduled to take on the role of lead for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two years. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
