Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix finished high school signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. As of 2005, she was the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 by beating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix has consistently placed within the top three across her diverse events during the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
